In February 1972 a group of politicians in Sweden gathered to define new ideas for the future. Motivated by an urgency to challenge the traditional social structures, they defined new goals for society. The vision was to create "A society of Autonomous Individuals". A manifesto was written in which it was declared that "no citizen should be depending on any other". In the year 2013, forty years later, Scandinavia is the region in the world with the loneliest population and Sweden is the country in which the highest amount of people die alone and also the country that tops the chart of single households with 47% living alone. Norway is a close second with 42% and Demark third with 41%. "Lost in Perfection" will try to penetrate Scandinavian perfection, look through the cracks and dig into the more dysfunctional sides of our seemingly perfect society.
