Dicky's Courtship

Alois Nieswurz is eager to get out the door to propose to his beloved, but everything seems to be getting in the way! First, the ring disappears and then, goodness me, his underpants are sticking out the back of his trousers. Will the awkward suitor ever manage to get there and down on one knee?

At the beginning of the 20th century, a cinema experience offered three or four short films – first a report, then a drama, and finally a farce before going home. Dicky’s Courtship is a good example of such a farce that probably sent the audience cheerfully out of the darkness of the cinema.
