Vejen hjem

While revisiting his childhood home, Ivar sees his bedroom and recalls, among other things, the day he decided that his father would never see him cry again. Two 30-year-old men, Jens and Ivar, look back at their childhood and their normal Danish upbringing in nuclear families with a father, mother and siblings. Both were spanked by their fathers. It was not a question of extreme violence or physical abuse, but rather a spanking on Dad's knee, not to mention that constant threat that when things came to a head, a spanking was the solution.
