Bente Milton

Born in 1960, Denmark. Courses at the National Film School of Denmark in the beginning of the nineties. Most of Milton's films have been televised in countries around the world.

While her debuting tv documentary »October 43« (1993) was nominated for a TV Oscar, her most prominent film, the internationally acclaimed "Gaias børn"/"The Children of Gaia" (1998), received numerous awards including Pärnu's Grand Prix, Robert Award (Danish Film Academy) for Best Documentary and honours from Golden Gate Awards, Nordic Panorama and Prix Europa. "Alison's Baby" (2001), a portrait of the armless single mother Alison Lapper, brought her the prestigious Prix Italia. "Mig og min avatar"/"My Avatar and Me" (2010), co-directed with Mikkel Stolt, was selected for IDFA's Reflecting Images: Panorama.
