Producer. Born 29/3 1984. Graduated as a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media Studies at the University of Copenhagen in 2007. Graduated from the Producers Programme at The National Film School of Denmark in 2013. Producer assistant at Alphaville Pictures Copenhagen, 2007-2009.
Per Damgaard Hansen is a Danish Producer and Founding Partner of Paloma Productions.
He has produced and co-produced a wide range of awarded feature films including titles such as Seven Boats, Winter Brothers, The Blue Orchid and the Palme d’Or winning Triangle of Sadness.
Recent titles include Tötem by Lila Avilés and Club Zero by Jessica Hausner.
In 2013, Damgaard Hansen established the production company Masterplan Pictures with producer Julie Waltersdorph Hansen, his 2013 fellow graduate from the National Film School of Denmark. Masterplan Pictures' first feature film, Hlynur Pálmason's "Winter Brothers" (2017), world-premiered in the main competition at the Locarno Festival, where it won the award for Best Actor (Elliott Crosset Hove). The film had its North American premiere at the Toronto Film Festival. In Denmark it received the main award at CPH PIX as well as several Robert and Bodil awards, including the award for best film at both events.
Per Damgaard Hansen was selected Producer on The Move at Cannes Film Festival 2018 and he is Member of the Board at the Danish Film Academy and a member of the European Film Academy. Per Damgaard Hansen is also an EAVE graduate and a member of the ACE network.
