Director. Born 1967, Poland. In 2002 Polak started her education at the film school VGIK in Moscow.
Polak has directed, produced and shot several award winning films. The short documentary "The Children of Leningradsky," about homeless children from Moscow's Leningradsky station, was nominated for an Oscar, two Emmys and won an IDA award in 2004. The documentary "Something Better To Come" (2014) world premiered at IDFA and took home the Special Jury award.
