Director. Born 14/3 1966, Denmark. Graduated in direction at the National Film School of Denmark, 1995. Studied film in London and New York, specializing in improvisation. Has written and directed numerous improvisational pieces for the stage.
Elmer wrote and directed the short film 'The Sublime' (1998). His feature film debut was the awardwinning critical success 'Let's Get Lost' (1997), an icon among the new wave of Danish films. Later films include: 'Mona's World' (2001), 'Nynne' (2005), the US production 'New in Town' (2009), 'In Real Life' (2014) and 'I am William' (2017). For television Elmer directed several episodes of the danish comedy series 'Langt fra Las Vegas' (2001).
