Stender has worked in the film industry since 2009. She got her feature film debut as producer on 'Heartstone' (2016). The film won a Queer Lion at Venice Film Festival. Since then, she has produced the TV series 'Noia' (2020) and the feature films 'The Venus Effect' (2021) and 'As In Heaven' (2021). The latter was selected for Toronto Film Festival and San Sebastián Film Festival.
