Cinematographer. Born 3 April, 1970 in Santiago, Chile. Claro graduated as a still photographer at Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan. He worked as an assistant photographer in Milan, New York and Copenhagen before enrolling in the National Film School of Denmark where he graduated in 2001.
As a cinematographer, Claro has worked in most genres and has photographed children's films, short films and documentaries. Claro has worked with directors such as Heidi Maria Faist, Christoffer Boe and, in documentary, with Christian Braad Thomsen and Mikala Krogh. More recently, Claro has shot Lars von Trier's 'Melancholia' (2011), 'Nymphomaniac' (2013) and 'The House That Jack Built'.
