Director. Born 1974, Denmark. Graduated in direction from the National Film School of Denmark, 2001. Prior to film school, Nørgaard assisted on a number Danish feature films, working with, among others, directors Lone Scherfig, Lars von Trier and Kaspar Rostrup. After graduating he worked with Nikolaj Arcel and Thomas Vinterberg and worked as director on major television series.
Nørgaard's feature film debut 'Klown' (2010) and the follow-up 'Klown Forever' (2015) are based on the popular television short-series 'Clown' (TV 2 Danmark, 2004-2009), which he also directed.
Directed the two adaptations of the bestselling Danish crime-writer Jussi Adler-Olsen books by the same name: 'The Keeper of Lost Causes' (2013) and 'The Absent One' (2014) as well as writing the script to the fourth in the series, 'The Purity of Vengeance' (2018).
