Born 1966, Denmark. Gråbøl has made films and commercials since 1988. He has won a number of international awards at major commercials' festivals including Cannes, New York, and Chicago. One of the directors of the TV series "Forsvar" and "Klovn"/"Clown". Gråbøl is co-founder of the production company Tju-Bang Film.
Gråbøl's debut film, the short fiction "Jorden er giftig"/"Thin Ice" (1988), received the Jury Award at Tampere. He wrote and directed "Møv og Funder"/"The Hideaway", winner of UNICEF and CIFEJ awards at Berlin, and his next film, "Det store flip"/"Wild Flowers" (1997), a tale of the liberating seventies, was a commercial success in Danish cinemas.
