Born 1963, Sweden. Lived from early on in Copenhagen. Graduated in direction from the National Film School of Denmark, 1999. Has directed numerous episodes of TV drama series and sitcoms.
Contributed together with five other directors to the documentary "Tiden går" (1999), in which a group of children ponder the phenomenon of time. The short fiction "Begravelsen"/"The Funeral" (2002) won Best Short Story Film at the national Robert Festival. Bovin's first feature film, the children's film "Kald mig bare Aksel"/"Wallah Be" (2002), received 1st prizes in Berlin and Amsterdam and was also awarded in Montevideo and Chicago.
