Born 1977, Denmark. Graduated in journalism from the Danish School of Journalism, 1999. Has signed nine documentary films as director since 2000.
Co-director with Mikala Krogh on "Omvej til Frihed"/"Detour to Freedom" (2001), nominated at Odense, Göteborg and selected for IDFA's First Appearance. The same year "Wonderkids", a series of films to which Stausholm contributed, received two television awards. "Usynlige piger"/"Invisible Girls" (2008) was selected for IDFA Kids & Docs Section, 2009.
