Has directed 'Dag og nat'/'Day and Night' (2004) with Mikael Persbrandt, Pernilla August and Maria Bonnevie which received the Silver Hugo Award at the Chicago Film Festival and was selected for the Zabaltegi section at the San Sebastian Film Festival.'Bang Bang Orangutang' (2005) starring Mikael Persbrandt and Lena Olin and 'Daisy Diamond' (2007) starring Noomi Rapace were both selected for the Official Competition at San Sebastian. 'Heaven's Heart' (2008) starring Mikael Persbrandt and Lena Endre was selected for the Berlinale Special section. 'Kærlighedens krigere'/'Warriors of Love' (2009) was selected for the Locarno Film Festival. Staho has also directed the two features 'Magi i luften'/'Love Is In The Air' (2011) and 'Miraklet'/'The Miracle' (2014).
