Danish actor and director, born October 10 1891, died June 4 1877. In 1916, he made his début at The Royal Danish Theatre. He performed at the theatre until 1922 where he left to study modern theatre abroad. In 1930, he returned to The Royal Danish Theatre, now also as a director, a role in which he proved far more successful than that of an actor. Among his more prominent film roles was that of Prince of Denmark in Carl Th. Dreyer's "Once upon a time" (1922).
