Den unge Milo Hoffman har enestående evner som programmør og opdages af den stenrige IT-chef Gary Winston. Milo begynder nu som programmør i Winstons firma og er godt tilfreds, men på et tidspunkt begynder det at gå op for ham, at Winston måske ikke har rent mel i posen. Helt galt går det, da en af Milos kammerater bliver myrdet i sit hjem.
