Fire patienter på et sindssygehospital skal sammen med deres læge på ekskursion til Yankee Stadion i New York. Lægen bliver forsøgt myrdet fordi han overværer et gangsterdrab og de fire patienter - som ikke kan udstå hinanden - må nu klare sig på egen hånd i New York, og bliver snart jaget af både myndigheder og gangstere.
