Producentforeningen har siden 2013 kåret de bedste danskudviklede spil med Spilprisen. Årets uddeling fandt grundet covid-19 sted online på Twitch, hvor de nominerede deltog på skærmen via Zoom.
Den store vinder blev Ghost Ship Games' first person shooter 'Deep Rock Galactic', der både vandt for Best Audio, Best Game Design og ikke mindst Game of the Year. Som motivation for sidstnævnte sagde Spilprisens jury:
"This game is masterfully designed and the epitome of great craftmanship. It's attention to details is impressive, the worldbuilding is far-reaching and the gameplay kept us hanging from the cliff side. The developers have through the years listened attentively to their players, dug deep to find the essence and as a result forged missions that thrilled millions of players. A truly impressive achievement!"
'Deep Rock Galactic' er, ligesom i alt 8 af årets 9 vindere, støttet af Filminstituttets Spilordning.
