Watch Danish Films

Watch Danish Films gives the Danish representations, embassies and cultural institutes, as well as international fans of Danish cinema an easy and always updated tool to find ways to see Danish content both in cinemas and on the most popular streaming platforms.

Watch Danish Films will be updated and/or expanded annually but info on where to see the films is constantly being refreshed. It does not give users access to see the films, only to where they can be seen. 

Watch Danish Films is not created in order to be a tool for arranging film screenings, but to promote the many films that are already available to audiences. It means representations, embassies and cultural institutes are advised to focus on films that are already accessible in their region rather than films only a select few will have a chance to see at a screening. The promotion should be on the films and not the platforms where they are to be found.

The site does have info on a film’s sales agent (if any) but not a local distributor. They should be contacted with any questions in regards to the rights of the films. If a film isn’t on the platform the Danish Film Database contains info on all Danish films and often also the rights holders. The Danish Film Institute does not provide assistance in regards to screenings of any kind.

It is possible to use one of the pre-defined filters when looking for inspiration for films or search for a specific title.
