What happened in the Forensics Institute almost 30 years ago was never forgotten, and it’s no coincidence that Emma now starts working as a night watch at the very same Institute. Her mother, Kalinka, never got over the experience and ended up taking her own life, but her father, Martin, is still alive, though he’s but a shadow of his former self.
The elephant in the room is the repressed story of how the psycho serial killer Wörmer almost murdered Emma’s parents, who were saved, in the nick of time, by their friend Jens. They are all still haunted by that night’s events - and growing up not being allowed to speak about them has led to Emma inheriting her parents’ trauma.
Emma decides to figure out what happened to Wörmer and manages to set up an unauthorized meeting with him. But the encounter wakes him out of his slumber and sets a chain of fateful events in motion. A gruesome revenge is now exacted on all those that helped seal Wörmer’s fate back then.
