Mihail Badica, who was born in Rumania, retells Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale in puppet animation. An interesting angle is that the movements of the fingers are made in sign language. The ambition has been to make a film which can be enjoyed by hearing people as an »ordinary« film, and which deaf people can enjoy with a little help from the puppets.
