Producer. Born 26/5 1964. Graduated from the National Film School of Denmark in 1993.
Hald founded the production company Nimbus Film with her co-student Bo Ehrhardt in 1993. In 1995 she got her feature film debut with 'The Beast Within' (Carsten Rudolf, 1995) followed by Thomas Vinterberg's debut feature 'The Greatest Heroes' (1996). With 'The Celebration' (1998), Hald and Nimbus Film got their first big succes. The Dogme film, which Hald produced, won the Jury Prize in Cannes amongst other accolades.
The following year came the Dogme film 'Mifune' (Søren Kragh-Jacobsen, 1999). In 2001, Hald produced Vinterberg's english language debut 'It's All About Love' (2002) which the duo followed up with 'Dear Wendy' (2005). Since 2003, Hald has focused on the management of Nimbus Film while executive producing films such as 'Angels in Fast Motion' (Ole Christian Madsen, 2005), 'Prag' (Ole Christian Madsen, 2006), 'A Soap' (Pernille Fischer Christensen, 2006) and 'Fighter' (Natasha Arthy, 2007). 'Flame & Citron' (Ole Christian Madsen, 2008) was a big commercial succes with over 673.000 tickets sold nationally.
Other notable works include 'What Goes Around' (Anders Matthesen, 2009) and 'Submarino' (Thomas Vinterberg, 2010), which won the Nordic Council Film Prize and competed at the Berlinale. 'Superclásico' (Ole Christian Madsen, 2011) premiered at Toronto and was shortlisted for an Oscar. Madsen and Hald's subsequent collaboration, 'Itsi Bitsi' (2014), also premiered at Toronto Film Festival. Since then, Hald has served as executive producer on films such as the 'Antboy' trilogy (2013-2016) by Ask Hasselbalch, 'Pound for Pound' (Henrik Ruben Genz, 2017), 'The Good Traitor' (Christina Rosendahl, 2020) and 'Erna at War' (Henrik Ruben Genz, 2020).
Hald was also behind the succesful TV series 'The Bridge' (2011-2015), which was broadast around the world.
