Christian Tafdrup

(1978 – )

Director, actor. Born 8/4 1978. Graduated from the Danish National School of Performing Arts in 2003.

As an actor Tafdrup has starred in both feature films and on television, including Susanne Bier's 'After the Wedding' (2006) as well as the TV series 'Borgen' (2010) and 'Park Road' (2009-2010).

Besides acting, Tafdrup has directed the shorts 'The Copier' (1999), 'Debutanten' (2003) and 'Awakening' (2008), which won the Danish Academy's Robert Award for best short film.

His feature film debut as a writer/director, 'Parents' (2016), was selected for Tribeca Film Festival and won several trophies at the Robert Awards and the Danish Critics' Bodil Awards. His second feature, 'A Horrible Woman' (2017), received a Bodil as well as a Robert for best actress and a Robert for best original screenplay.
