Peter Engel

Producer and journalist. Born 8/4 1963. Graduated from the Danish School of Media and Journalism in 1992.

Engel has worked with production of film, TV and radio at Zentropa, Nordisk Film, Koncern TV, DR and TV 2, among others.

In 2011, Engel founded his production company Wingman Media, producing auteur-driven documentary films for the international cinema market, TV documentaries, radio and podcasts as well as publishing books.

Within film production, Engel has focused on documentaries about political issues, human rights and the global industry. He has produced Mads Brügger's controversial and genre-bending political documentaries 'The Red Chapel' (2009), 'The Ambassador' (2011) and 'Cold Case Hammarskjöld' (2019). 'The Red Chapel' won the top award in the World Cinema Documentary Competition at Sundance.

Engel has co-produced several international documentaries, including 'Inside Fur' (2014) and 'Mogadishu Soldier' (2017), both selected for IDFA.
