'Tourist' is a mainstream series about survival strategies and change in a collapsed travel industry. 10 % of the global economy is run by tourism, and the past years have been deep crises for many people around the world. The series follows in scenes and interviews a handful of exciting and inspiring characters and their fight for the life they have known.
The global supply chain in the travel business connects our protagonists. From the billionaire Petter Stordalen (Norway) who has all his money tight in hotels, ferrys and airlines to the lifelong employees in the Nordic charter company Spies, who lost their jobs, to the workers at the tourist destinations where it is difficult to gather enough money to afford the next meal.
This series is about leadership, hope and what we lose and learn in a crisis.
