Director. Born 1973, Denmark. Graduated in documentary direction from the National Film School of Denmark, 2001. Worked for several years in radio before making her directorial debut in 1992 with "Epilogue" (co-directed with Sara Bro). Has since worked with personal, investigative and experimental documentaries. Co-owner of Danish Documentary Production.
Her films include "Fish Out of Water" (2000), "Omvej til frihed"/"Detour to Freedom" (with Sidse Stausholm, 2001) and "My Father's Choice" (2002). Co-directed "My Grandad's Murderer" (with Søren Fauli, 2004), awarded in Sevilla and Paris, and "Beth's Diary" (with Kent Klich, 2006), recipient of Best Short Documentary at CPH:DOX and Honourable Mention at Nordic Panorama. Contributed to a series of four films on megacities with "Cairo Garbage" (2009). In 2011 she made "Me and My Twin", one of four films about sibling relationships. The documentaries "A Normal Life" (2012) and "A Year of Hope" (2017) were both selected for competition at IDFA.
