Comment | Heartstone is Guðmundsson’s feature debut, developed at the Cannes Cinéfondation Residency in Paris. The film screened in Venice Days, winning the Queer Lion, as well as both Toronto and Chicago Film Festival and Göteborg, winning a string of awards around the world. The director received a Special Mention at Cannes in 2013 for his short film Whale Valley, also recipient of a European Film Award. He also took home prizes for his short film Ártún. |
