Born 1967, Sweden. Graduated from the National Film School of Denmark, 1997.
Gustafsson's graduation film, "Svensk Roulette", won Nordic Short Film Award at Nordisk Panorama and was nominated for a Student Oscar. "Fodbolddrengen"/"Soccer Boy" (2001) won Best Documentary Award at Odense, and was selected for Kids & Docs at IDFA, Amsterdam. "Lille voksen"/"Little Miss Grown-Up" (2008) shared with Gustafsson's film "Amanda's 2 Verdener" Best Documentary at Copenhagen's Buster festival.
His feature film debut, "Bagland"/"Scratch" (2003), was selected for Berlin and received Best Actress Award (Stephanie Leòn) at Copenhagen and Rimouski festivals.
